The varsity jacket, also known as a letterman or letter jacket, was first introduced in 1865 by members of the Harvard University baseball team. It was a way to showcase accomplishment, skill, and pride in a specific sport or school. Today, letterman jackets still hold the same meaning; however, there are more options to choose from in regards to style, size, color, and types of patches.

What to Expect During Your Visit
Personalized Fitting
When you arrive, our team will assist you with an in-person fitting. We’ll help you find the perfect size and ensure your jacket is tailored to your body, making sure you’re comfortable and satisfied with the fit.
Style and Design Consultation
After we’ve found your size, we’ll discuss the design elements of your varsity jacket. This includes options for the wool body, leather sleeves, patches, and embroidery. We’ll help you choose the perfect combination to match your preferences and school spirit.
School-Specific Packages
Ranging from $285-$315, we offer packages for many schools in our area. If a package for your school is available, we’ll guide you through options that feature popular customizations. We’ll make sure you’re getting the best value for your package based on your preferences.
Clear Timeline
We’ll provide you with an estimated timeline for when your jacket will be ready. For new jackets, the turnaround time is typically 6-8 weeks, and any add-ons (like patches or embroidery) will take 2-3 weeks.
Payment and Deposit
A 50% deposit is required when placing your order. The remaining balance will be due upon pick-up. We accept various payment methods, and our team will walk you through the payment process.

Bring Reference Images and Select Custom Elements
Start by bringing reference images from jackets at your school to help us match the style of fonts, embroidery, and patches. You’ll also choose from a variety of swatches for the wool body, leather sleeves, button snaps, and pocket trim.
Get Sized In-Store
Visit our store to get properly sized using our sample sizers. Our team will assist you in finding the perfect fit to ensure your jacket is comfortable and looks great.
Place Your Order and Pay Deposit
Once your design and sizing are complete, we’ll finalize your order. A 50% deposit is required, and since every element is priced individually, your custom jacket may differ in price from our school packages.
Custom Chenille Embroidery & Patches
Varsity letters are typically worn as a badge of honor to represent commitment and hard work. They are made from chenille, which is a type of soft yarn that, when woven, creates a fuzzy appearance. We utilize our top-of-the-line chenille machines to create high quality patches for your custom varsity jacket.
